This month CAP's Barrie Travis looks at the popularity of 7.5-tonne curtainsiders and boxvans and tracks their residuals.

Moving on from last month's discussion of high-powered tractor units and 18-tonne rigids, we now examine the fortunes of 7.5-tonne boxes and curtain sideis,registered in January 1997 and January 1999 respectively.

We will track their values from three years old through to the fourth year of their working lives — in our examples,2000 and 2002 respectively,concentrating on the most popular makes and models.
