Manufacturer launches its own approved used-truck programme

DaewooTruck UK has launched its own used truck scheme offering customers a full year's warranty and MoT. The scheme, called 2D, has been set up to offer low-mileage trucks with 12 months' comprehensive driveline warranty, warranted kilometres and a full 12 months' MoT plus a 35-point B service/inspection and fully valeted cab. A number of photos of each example, plus specs, dealer contacts and prices, are posted online However, managing director Andy Granger admits there won't too many on the website to begin with, as the scheme has only just been launched. "There are 300 or so vehicles on the road at the moment, but some operators keep hold of theirs for three or four years, so it's a slow process," he says. "There will be six trucks or so to begin with." The main stock will comprise ex-demonstrator and early fleet models. Visit the 2D page at www.daewootruck.co.uk to see the current list of what is available.
