Valeo's new Cm Test 2 makes fast work of tracking down climate control faults.
LOCATING AIR-CONDITIONING faults can be a drawn-out process.To make the job quicker and easier,Valeo has launched the ClimTest 2,a hand-held unit which measures the temperature and pressures of the airconditioning loop, using test-machine probes.
The machine offers two pressure sensors, measuring high and low pressure. as well as air-temperature sensors for ambient and cabin air.There is also a pair of connectors for R134a and R12 gas, in addition to a built-in humidity sensor.All of the readings are shown on an LCD display and can he printed by connecting the serial printer port. Also included are electronic data acquisition and measurement modules.
