COUPLED to an Atkinson tractive unit, this York Envoy 10-metre semi-trailer of Continental Ferry Trailers, Barking, was pfiotographed recently as it started off on its first trip, carrying a 15-ton load of cosmetics from Northampton to Bornem. near Brussels.

After making the crossing between Tilbury and Antwerp via the Transport Ferry Service the trailer was routed on to Hamburg :o make a delivery. It is now about to make its second Continental journey—this time to Frankfurt.

The trailer, which is frameless. is designed for fast loading with full-width clear opening rear doors and side doors. The van is crowned with a removable TIR tilt.
