Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FOLLOWING the refusal of the Traffic Commissioners to grant Messrs. Macrae and Dick a licence to run a bus service which would link Grantown and Inverness, strong indignation has been aroused in Elginshire.

A large proportion of private householders and tradespeople signed a Petition in favour of the service. In this they were backed up by Grantown Town Council and the Traders' Association. Despite this, the application was rejected, it being considered that railway facilities were ample.

It is strongly felt that the time is long overdue when there should he a bus service from Grantown to Inverness.
