Laurie Dealer gets wind of more used truck tests in future
The Boy Swallow, Road Transport Group deputy technical editor and vehicle tester, has been on the blower to ol Laurie Dealer informing the Remarketing Guru of future used truck tests in CM.
He says: ''CM has just completed a test of a Volvo FH that used to belong to Innovate Logistics (see CM 29 April), which has been leased to paraplegic owner-driver Richard Dover. The truck was handed over at TruckFest 2010. Volvo is keen to do another, as is Renault Trucks, which is promising two vehicles for test at the end of June, one of which is a Premium."
It sounds like there is plenty going on. "CM is optimistic that other manufacturers will put their second-hand trucks back in from lease or buy back deals through the used truck test too," Swallow adds. "It is a great opportunity to flag up stock."
