Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Animal rights activists have admitted planting the firebomb that destroyed two tractive units belonging to an Exeter-based meat haulier on Monday night (10 May).

Emergency services were called to the Novacold depot in Pinhoe, Devon, at 22:30hrs. By the time Devon Fire and Rescue personnel arrived at the scene two tractors, including a brand new vehicle, were in flames.

Four other vehicles were also damaged by flames—Royal Navy bomb disposal experts made several other devices safe. There were no injuries.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman says: 'There is an obvious line of inquiry towards animal activists. However, our main inquiry at the moment lies with the forensic examination and any potential witnesses we can find."

As CM went to press the Animal Liberation front owned up to the attack.
