All five models from Citroen's newly expanded commercial vehicle range will be putting in an appearance this year.
They include the C15 Champ, available in sookg and 765kg versions, the recently launched New Look Berlingo, with 1.90, 2.0Hdi, 1.4i petrol, 1.4i dual-fuel and electric engine options, and the firm's larger Dispatch and New Look Relay models, the latter of which now comes with remote control, transponderactuated central locking in place of key-based central locking.
Backing the display of standard vans, there will also be a number of vehicles from the firm's expanding range of specialist conversions. These are expected to include a Jiffy truck mobile catering vehicle, a Rohill car transporter, an Advanced minibus, a Tipmaster tipper and a Somers refrigerated van. Among the attractions on Foden's stand in Flail 5 will be the A3-4T C12-400DF dual-fuel 4x2 tractor—still one of the rare options for anyone looking for a gas-powered tractive unit.
Powered by the Caterpillar dual-fuel engine rated at 400hp, the C12 uses diesel to initiate the combustion process while the induction air is enriched with natural gas to provide power as required.
The Foden Alpha Dual Fuel is available in a range of configurations and can use either compressed or liquefied natural gas. The unit on display is equipped with both LNG and CNG tanks.
Also on show will be the latest 80-tonne heavy haulage variant of Foden's 6x4 tractor. Powered by a Cat C12 engine and rated at 450hp, the A36U C12-450 drives through a 2F Ecosplit transmission to heavy duty Mentor RT46-160 rear axles on Air-Trac suspension.
The Alpha 43-6M mid-lift 6x2 tractor will also be shown, fitted with the range-topping XL highroof sleeper cab; as will an A3-8RT 8x4 tipper chassis with day cab and vertical exhaust.
