A brand new dry freight van constructed from Ferropiast panels and aimed at security-conscious operators will also be displayed alongside a multi-temperature reefer and a bolted anc galvanised high-spec curtainsider.
Turkish torque
Turkish truck builder MC is extending Its product line-up with a Cummins-powered 12-tonner. The all-new Pro 518 4x2, being officially unveiled at the show, is powered a 170hp four-cylinder IS& diesel coupled tc a ZF gearbox. Buyers will have a choice of day, sleeper or four-door crew cab with BMC's range of factory-fitted bodywork which Includes a slide-back vehicle recover body and a 9.0m3 compactor for refuse collection work.
Ford's focus
The line-up on Ford's stand will include the new Transit Connect. the Tourneo Connect, 12-seat Transit minibus and a double-cab Transit. Also on show will be an LPG version, recalibrated to ensure exemption from the London congestion charge. Ford's Ranger XI and Ranger Supercab will also be up for some ogling.
Quiet fridges
Carrier Transicold will be▪ featuring the
latest very low noise version of its Supra range of diesel overcab fridge systems. Designed for 24/7 deliveries in sensitive urban areas, the Supra range is claimed to have the quietest diesel engine on the market. Also on show will be the Vectra trailer system, the Xarios range and Carrier's Datacold 250 and 500 temperature recorders.
Air suspension
The SAF IntradIsc Plus Integral axle/air suspension system will once again form the main focus on IMS's stand. Other products to be featured will Include the Georg Fische Recess system to prevent faulty fifth whee coupling and the Buzzlift air-powered landing-leg winding system.
