The new XF is part of a fivetruck line-up from Daf that

features models from ail tnree of its vehicle ranges, shown together for the first time in the UK. The full line-up includes the Daf CF 85.430 6x2 tractive unit with an unusual lifting centre axle featuring 17.5in wheels; a CF75.360 with a 9.2litre engine rated at up to 360hp and in 6x4 chassis configuration: and two vehicles from the lighter LF range—an LF55.220 18-tonne tipper chassis and a 7.5-tonne LF45.170 sleeper cab model with the optional Allison 1000 Series automatic gearbox. Following tne launch of its new generation sliding bogie skeletal last year, Fruehauf has introduced a new galvanised chassis option which will be shown for the first

time at this year's show. The galvanised chassis will help minimise maintenance and prolong the life of trailers but adds just 90kg to the overall weight. It's available for an extra £400. The new skele al nas been further enhanced with a galvanised bump bar as standard on all models and refined latching on the swing rear bolsters. There is also a new protection bar around the control panel.
