FROM the technical point of view, the Leipzig Show

of commercial vehicles and chassis is rather disappointing, although there are a few outstanding features displaying-a fairly high degree of originality. It is obvious, and is freely admitted by some exhibitors, that there is much more behind the scenes than is on the stage, for, important as it is, the present exhibition must take second place to that which will he held in Berlin towards the end of this .year,.

This is a somewhat curious attitude, and one never displayed by British makers, who welcome publicity and realize that once a vehicle is displayed it might just as well be afforded all the publicity possible, for anyone wanting technical details could obtain them more easily by a close inspection of the actual exhibit than by studying a coinparatively small sketch. However, this reticence did not prevent us from making, the sketch with which we 'desired to illustrate our notes on this particular vehicle.

Before dealing'with the notable points on particular chassis, it may be interesting to-draw-attention to certain general -tendencies in 'design as exemplified at this exhibition.
