• The secretary /manager of a C-licensee was fined £50 for forging two records with intent to deceive at Leyland magistrates' court last week. Harry I. Taylor of County Egg and Produce Co. Ltd., Hoole, Lanes, was also called upon to pay 5 gns. costs.
The company, found guilty on four charges in connection with drivers' hours and a similar number regarding records, was fined a total of £80 with 5 gns. advocate's fees. Its driver, Arthur E. Molyneux, was fined E5 each on four hours and four records charges with similar advocate's fees.
