from the Ministry of Fuel and Power. This is the effect of an Order made by the Minister (The Control of Petroleum (Revocation) Order, 1952: S.1.1952, No. 1065) which revokes the Control of Petroleum Order, 1944, and subsequent amending Orders.
The original Order was of value in enabling the Minister to control the distribution of petroleum products during the war and the period of petrol rationing, but, in present conditions, the powers in the Order are no longer necessary.
MOBILE TOWER LADDERS
A RANGE of mobile tower ladders
has been developed by John Gibson and Son, Ltd., Jameson Place, Leith, Edinburgh, The basis of the appliance is a Graiseley 24-volt unit powered by D.P. Kathanode batteries. The ladders proceed at walking speed and are pedestrian-controlled.
The chassis is equipped with levelling jacks and the batteries are positioned in the centre, Tower frames are of light alloy. When closed, the unit is

ARANGE of oil-bath air filters to suit all types of commercial vehicle is being produced by Air Maze, Ltd., Warrington. It is claimed that these filters provide oil re-circulation at all engine -speeds. ' The 'combination of oil-scrubbing action and the baffleimpingement principle offers extremely' high dirt-arresting properties.
The filters are quickly dismantled for cleaning. A typical unit 5 ins, in diameter and 8 ins. •high, has a filter area of 125 sq. ins. Its resistance measured' an a water gauge' is only about 2 ins. .
