Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• In our issue dated 23-29 March 1989, we conducted a survey featuring a load strap produced by Pritchards Indus rial Textile Products of Chineham, Basingstoke. Und the section AWLREM Comments we described the web bing as "loosely weaved and stitching very bad". During tl actual test the stitching provt perfectly satisfactory, and it was the webbing and not the stitching that eventually failec with the former failing in excess of the claimed strength rating.

While the initial impression of the Pritchards stitching is that it is of a lighter than usu gauge and has an unusual pat tern, it complies with the BS standard on load straps and ti number of stitches per inch e sures that its designed break. ing strength is met.

Pritchards informs us that service its stitching pattern h proved well up to the task an no failures have been reporte to it.
