DELFAST'S experimental 2d. flat morn"-, ing fare scheme will end on Sunday, July 15, after an eight-week period in which, it is estimated, Belfast Corporation Transport have lost 120,000 in fare revenue. The attempt to attract more passengers to use public transport in the off-peak morning period has failed; reporting to the transport committee last week, Belfast's transport manager said the extra 54,000 passengers a day needed to " break even" had not been attained and it was also evident that some of the extra passengers using the morning services had been taken from other periods of the day.
