Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE removal and replacement of the wheels of heavy vehicles is a frequently necessary task normally beyond the capability of one man. An ingenious foot-operated jack that enables this work to be done without effort by a boy has recently been introduced by Bellanger Bros. (London), Ltd., 5, Bevis Atinrks, Bishopsgate, London, E.C.3.

Known as the Bellbro wheel-lift jack, the tool is designed for raising and lowering the wheel, which is supported on two horizontal arms, by means of a rack and pinion, the latter being rotated by a worm. From a hub on

n38 the worm-driving shaft six spokes radiate, each of which is shaped for operation by foot. Thus, while guiding the wheel into position with his hands, the operator can adjust its height with his foot.

The device is provided with a large baseplate to ensure stability when in use. It is light and can be dismantled without the use of tools, its compact parts occupying little space in the tool kit of the vehicle. The price to the trade is £3 9s. 6d.
