New Mitchell Cotts director

M. J. Hoperaft has been appointed a director of Mitchell Cotts Transport Ltd. He joined the company in 1972 as London branch manager and became marketing manager in 1976, Keith Bury has succeeded A. F. Smith as managing director of Waste Management Ltd. He first joined the Waste Management Group in 1973 and was previously director, group development. Formerly projects manager for the National Bus Company, Dennis Clarke has become organisation and methods manager for NBC. He will be responsible for the development and co-ordination of 0 & M in NBC and its subsidiary companies, and will continue to be based in Birmingham.

Laurence Pope has succeeded Alan Dodd as chief regional architect at NBC's Ilkley office. He joined NBC in 1974 as regional architect to the western region.

John lawley has become deputy group managing director of H. and J. Quick Group Ltd. He remains managing director of H. and J. Quick Ltd and Quicks of Chester Ltd. Mr Lawley joined Quicks in 1963 as regional general manager.

We announce with regret the death of Percy Watts.

Mr Watts, who was 83, was one of the founders of the Cardiff coach company, \IFalconer and Watts.
