Dunstable plant for major expansion hampered Vauxhall Motors Ltd.'s attempts to satisfy demand for Bedford trucks in 1966, Bedford maintained its position as the most-exported truck of any make in the world. Totals produced for the home and export markets (1965 figures in brackets) were: Home, 175,160 (191,507); export, 107,807 (141,660).
