quc new Bedford VAL coaches with Plaxton Panorama 1 bodies are being supplied to Manchester City Transport to operate on the Manchester Airport service. Delivery is expected to be completed early this year. Although nominally 52-seaters, five of the seats can easily be removed to provide additional
luggage accommodation. Rear and side luggage lockers provide a capacity of 180 cu. ft.
The airport is about 10 miles south of the city and the journey time is approximately 30 minutes. The coaches will work non-stop in the outward direction and make one intermediate stop, at Barlow Moor Road, on the inward run.
