Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WITH export orders in hand worth over £2,500,000, and with an increase of over 25 per cent. in output, Leyland Motors, Ltd., made another export trading record in 1949.

During the year, 1,000 more vehicles were supplied to the home market than in 1948. The company, fulfilled its export quota, sending overseas last year almost as many machines as in 1947 and 1948 combined.

Although 1949 production was 25 per cent, above the 1948 figure, the number of hourly paid workers rose by only 2.2 per cent. Specialized machinery and a replanning of production methods accounted for the higher output per man.
