Invidious Rationing Creates Unfair Competition

THAT Liverpool and Manchester con1 cerns should be prevented from using their motorvans to dump bread and confectionery in the North Wales towns was urged at last week's meeting of the Rhyl Individual Traders' Association. It was stated that supplies of petrol for North Wales bakers had been cut down to a minimum, yet Manchester and Liverpool concerns were able to obtain supplementary rations that rendered it possible for them to send vans to North Wales. These vans returned home empty.

It was decided that representatives of the Association should attend the next meeting of the Rhyl Bakers' Association with a view to taking joint action in the interests of the North Wales bakery trade.
