Independent dealer Smith Brothers Services is gradually returning to normal after a presumed arson attack in November gutted its offices. It destroyed four trucks and slightly damaged two more.
"The police haven't caught whoever was responsible for starting it yet so far as we are aware," says Steve Smith. "At present we're in temporary office accommodation. We're waiting for new offices to be built." The firm is looking at beefing up security at its premises, not far from Widnes and Junction 7 on the M62.
