MR. T. Seemerosr, a haulage contractor, has been appointed to the committee of Leyland Chamber of Trade for the ensuing year.
MR. A. N. AstzgrsoN has resigned his positionas general manager of Fred Cook (Transport), Ltd., Hull, and is to join the board of Shores Motors (Hull), Ltd. In addition, he is taking up an appointment as engineer in an advisory capacity on fleet maintenance with Richardson (Hull), Transport Co., Ltd.
MR. D. A. Bunn, chief designer of Mechanisations and Aero, Ltd., has joined the Tank Design and Experiments Committee at the Ministry of Supply. He is just over 40 years of • age, has been with the Nuffield organ' ization for the past 12 years, and has been responsible for the design of War Office vehicles, particularly the mOlti wheeled Models. Mr. Baird was the first designer to arrange Tank manufacture on mass-production lines.
MR. E. B. Horcirrxsore, well known for his long association with road transport, both on the goods and passenger sides, has been appointed Leeds Area Officer in the Road Haulage Branch of the Ministry of War Transport, in connection with the Ministry side of the Government haulage scheme,

W, MORTON IS resuming, after a long and severe illness, his activities in the Holdsworth and Hanson group of haulage companies, and his duties as joint chairman of the Yorkshire Regional Committee of the Road-Rail Conference.
