Trailer manufacturer SDC has acquired Scotch Corner trailer dealership SDC Northern from owners Robin Gray and former MD Rod Pybus.
"It's in a good location, it offers good aftermarket support. its got a good name and we didn't want it falling into anyone else's hands," says SDC business development director Don Campbell.
Peter Nutkins is continuing as general manager with Jon Lambert as sales manager.
"I decided I wanted some time out of the industry and I'm over the moon that the business is in a safe pair of hands," says Pybus. "Now I can go fishing and not feel guilty about it!"
Earlier this year SDC bought trailer parts and service business FP&S, but Campbell says it has no plans to acquire other dealers.
