Reliance underfioor-engined bus and coach chassis will be exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show next March. It is aimed at a specific market—the Swiss State post buses which carry letters, parcels and passengers to and from remote mountain villages and townships.
The chassis will have a special short wheelbase of only 13 ft. 7 in., and will feature such equipment as power-assisted steering, low-axle gearing, separate front and rear air-brake circuits and automatic chassis lubrication. A six-speed gearbox will be fitted, the standard power-unit being the AH.470 engine of 138 b.h.p.
