The vehicles used for the demonstr; tions were driven over rough, mut covered ground until they became con pletely "bogged down" with one re: wheel slipping. In all eases—in bat unladen and laden conditions—open tion of the Extricator enabled the vehielt to be driven out.
The Extricator was developed initial; by Dennis for tire appliances and refut vehicles, which often encounter bad roa conditions, and although appearing sorm what crude is certainly effective. Or disadvantage is that when " bogge down " the driver has to get to the re: of his vehicle to apply the device and would he better if hydraulic operation c similar was incorporated so that th device could be brought into opeiatio from the cab.
