Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A LYTAG vehicle arrester — one of the largest in Europe — has been installed by Hereford and Worcester County Council. It is on the A44 at Fish Hill, which has an average gradient of 1 in 12.5.

This hill, is, of course, travelled in the uphill direction during CM's Midland test route.

The bed varies in width from 3m (10ft) on the straight section to 5m (16ft) on the bend and in depth to a maximum of one metre (3.25ft) at the widest part. It is more than double the size of any earlier Lytag vehicle arrester containing 450cum (590cuyd) of lightweight aggregate in its 260m (870ft) length.
