GARAGE modernisation fig ures large in West Midland. PTE's 1979/80 capital pro gramme.
It is devoting £800,00, towards the second stage o the £1.5m reconstruction of it Birchills premises which wil incorporate new bodyshor administration, and social clul facilities.
A £1.1m programme o improvements is in progress a Dudley, Hockley, Hartshil Coventry Road, Stourbridg( and Park Lane garages.
Seven million pounds' wort of new buses — 75 Leylan Titans and 75 MCW Metrc buses — are expected in th current financial year, whit another Elm is being spent o radios, Autofare ticket cone( tion equipment, and °the similar items.
Improvements to Dudle! Stourbridge, Oldbury, an Wolverhampton bus statior will cost £0.4m.
