• Profits of the Transport Development Group for the half-year ended June 30 1969 were 11 per cent up on the equivalent results for 1968, despite an increase of £117.700 in depreciation, following the new basis introduced at the beginning ot this year.

Group income for the latest half-year totalled £26,702.152 (1968: £23,580,754),

profit before tax was £3,168,255 (£2.848,341), and profit after tax was £1,861,551 (£1,668,948). An interim dividend of 41 per cent, less tax, has been declared.
