• A meeting of the South Gloucestershire Tipper Operators Group was held last Friday to consider the proposal which had been previously agreed by the Mendips Tipper Operators on the subject of demand for increased rates (CM September 5).
A well-attended gathering gave overwhelming support to the proposal which has now been sent to the Western Roadstone Centre.
It is understood that the centre were meeting on Wednesday but at the time of going to press the outcome of their discussions were not known
