• Boalloy plans to set up an extra assembly plant near its Cumbemauld factory to produce its 1.7 Liner, 3.5 Liner and 7.5 Liner bodies from kits for Scottish dealers.
The new plant will produce three bodies a week to begin with, employing six staff.
Boalloy has also signed a bank stock agreement with VAG to supply MAN and Volkswagen chassis fitted with Boalloy bodies direct to dealers throughout the UK This follows a similar deal with Mercedes-Benz.
The company has also wl its first British Standard accr ditation: BS5750 has been awarded to its Tautliner plan in Congleton, Cheshire.
Quality control manager N man Bagnall has been promoted to works manager; a ne quality control manager will recruited to help win BS575( at all Boalloy's other sites.
