Co-op gets go-ahead for Scottish RDC

THE CO-OP GROUP has been given planning consent by North Lanarkshire Council for a regional distribution centre in Scotland.

Construction of the 503,577ft2 composite multi-temperature facility at ProLogis Park in Newhouse, close to Junction 6 of the Mff, is expected to start later this month, with operations fully under way in late 2011.

The site will have a 426387ft2 warehouse with three-storey offices totalling 30,814ft2, hub offices of 10.0001t2, 444 car parking places, and 300 HGV trailer spaces.
