haulage very seriously. However, once a week our quirky correspondent. lir.? R:Irsk, steps off his perch to take a humorous look at the industry to keep us all sane. In a rare offduty moment, actors Colin Tarrant (Inspector Monroe), Mark Wingett (DC Carver), Chris Ellison (Frank Burnside) and Andrew Paul (PC Quinnan) took time out to investigate van specialist LDV's stand at the British International Motor Show. One half is fitted to full police specifications with a cell cage, roof mounted blue lights and blue beacon; the other half is a typical RAC vehicle configuration. The bobbies from The Bill were well impressed.
