• Paden is offering tractive units ready for January's Al -tonne legislation, with a mid-lift 6x2 and a 6x4 variant of the Alpha 3000 or the 4000 Series tractors. Also available will be 4x2 versions of the Alpha 3000 ready for conversion to three axles: a tag-axle model can be fitted with a Gigant axle on two-bag air suspension by TVAC of Leyland. Alternatively, a long-wheelbase 4x2 tractor will be offered, with the chassis pre-drilled for a mid-lift axle. Existing Foden tractors with steel-suspended drive axles can be uprated to 1T ,500k9 with a kit available from dealers.
