A revised edition of an HMSO booklet -Health and Safety at Work", gives details of the dangers arising and the methods of handling poisonous gases in a variety of industries, and includes the latest advice on the disposal of carbon monoxide fumes.
The booklet advises on the selection and use of breathing apparatus and warns against anyone attempting to rescue a person overcome by fumes, unless the rescuer is fully equipped with breathing apparatus.
Several appendices set out the legal requirements relating to carbon monoxide and other dangerous gases.
