2OULDN1T HELP but smirk at e recent double page piece on OSA headed "Tough on crime..." 'M21 April). In fact, I nearly fell it of my vehicle laughing when ad how VOSA is doing so well eeting all its targets.

I took VOSA's advice 12 onths ago and phoned their conJential hotline to let them know )(nit a foreign driver I had )oken to at a distribution center . Corby. The driver really looked le worse for wear. He explained tat to make decent money he as running on two sets of charts, hich went out the window when t left the UK. Sleep was minimal id the most rest he'd had in one ariod was four hours.

The first person on the VOSA otline had no idea what to dosĀ° le passed me to a second person. he didn't know either and nor did ie third. The fourth person had a ipervisor with him, and "he might now".Hi,s reply was to say thanks, ut as he was a foreign driver there as nothing they could do. Wonderful. With a UK driver it's different bag altogether.
