NATIONAL Bus subsidiary Northern General has offered its unique Tynesider doubledecker for sale.
Rebuilt six years ago from a Leyland PD3/ 4 chassis, it is a normal control front-engined double-decker suitable for one man operation.
Although very successful from a mechanical viewpoint, it saw little service. Its main duties were on intensive routes around Newcastle and Gateshead.
The company's one-i Routemaster rebuild, kn as Wearsider, is still at wol a crew-operated vehicle.
