• All trailers should now connect via the dedicated ISO 7638 ABS connectors (where these are present) on the tractor unit. All trailer EBS systems include provision for the trailer EBS to draw power from the trailer's 24N stoplight connector, should the dedicated ISO 7638 connection fail or work loose. The 24N connection does not power all the EBS functions, but it does mean that, in an emergency braking situation, the ABS system will still function.
