Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

i A truck driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after his vehicle ploughed into the back of a car, killing a family of four on the M1 at Milton Keynes. The incident happened at around 12.20am last Thursday (5 June) between junctions 13 and 14.

The car was travelling northbound following two artics. Motorway signs showed that the middle and fast lanes were closed ahead so all three vehicles moved into the slow lane and began to reduce speed. A third truck travelling behind the vehicles also moved across and as it did, crashed into the back of the car, shunting It into the trucks in front.

All four car passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. The truck drivers escaped unharmed.

A spokeswoman for Bedfordshire police says: "Sergeant Colin Bonner leading the investigation, is keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or events leading up to it." The truck driver has been released on bail to return to Dunstable police station on 7 August.
