BECAUSE of the continued fall ir passenger traffic, Luton Corporation transport committee has considered future policy with regard to the purchase of buses, and the department's general manager has recommended that only six buses be purchased in the current financial year instead of 10 as provided for in the capital expenditure programme. It is proposed to place an order with Dennis Bros. Ltd. for the supply of six " Loline " Mk. III bus chassis fitted with 1.eyland 0.600 engines, at a cost of £3,208 Fur each chassis.
