• Badgerline Holdings is splitting its largest subsidiary, Eastern National, into two companies. A new company, Thamesway, will take over operations in south Essex and LRT tendered routes; Eastern National will run north Essex and south-east Hertfordshire services.
Group marketing director Chris Carr says the split will offer better service to the customer "and it puts us in a better position to look at further LRT tendered routes". 0 Badgerline has bought coach company Wessex of Bristol, which employs about 100 and runs 33 coaches. Wessex was the subject of a workforce buyout in 1987.
