• Despite having been excluded from the Ministry of Defence's £250 million tender for demountable army trucks, the Boughton Engineering Group is still trying to sell its 6x6 vehicles to the US Army.

Boughton developed Drops, its demountable rack off-loading and pick-up system.

It hopes to tender for the equivalent US Army Drops vehicle order, known as PLS (Pallet Loading System) and since 1983 has supplied several of its 336kW (450hp) 6x6 chassis for evaluation there.
