▪ Construction has started of

a third, twin-level ferry ramp berth at Larne Harbour, which will he used primarily by Pandoro for its freight services between Lame, and Liverpool and Fleetwood.

When completed it will provide the same facilities as those currently used by Townsend Thoresen and Sealink on the short sea routes to Cairnryan and Stranraer.

The £3 million development is scheduled for completion in the spring of 1987, and is at the Lame's Mail Quay. It involves lengthening and deepening the existing quay to accommodate the modern ferries operating at the port, and also includes a new ramp.
