Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE ROAD Transport Industry Training Board will send statements soon showing the amount employers either owe it or are owed by it.

The RTITB has just completed the assessment of individual grant claims made by employers for the training year ended July 31, 1984, and has calculated the funds available to meet these claims.

As in the previous year, the levy was 0.8 of one per cent of the total wage bill for an employer.

The individual point value for the road haulage sector is now £4.22 (the previous year it was £3.52). For the furniture removals sector it is now £8.61 (compared with £5.72 for the year before).

All haulage operators paying over £21,000 in wage bills are by law involved in the system, and for furniture removers the trigger amount is £24,500.

The RTITB says that the value of a point is worked out by allocating certain points to an employer when certain approved training is undertaken.

All the points earned in the whole sector are added up and then the sum is divided by the total amount of money collected from the 0.8 of one per cent levy.
