Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

"QUESTION AND ANSWER" (CM, December 29) included a request for information on credit card facilities for breakdowns.

Readers will no doubt want to be reminded of the Ford 24 Club scheme. This was launched on May 9 1966 and to date over 9,900 cards are in circulation with 2,000 members. Service is provided by 160 Ford dealers located throughout the country who offer either full 24-hour repairs or 24-hour emergency breakdown service for both light and heavy commercials.

The scheme is open to any operator who has at least one Ford commercial vehicle or C-licensed estate car in his fleet and covers all his vehicles irrespective of make.

There is no charge whatsoever for either admission to the Club or for the credit cards, and there is no limit on the cost of repairs.

Application forms can be obtained from any Ford truck specialist dealer.
