SIMON Engineering of Dudley, West Midlands has fulfilled a contract for five Simon Snorkel fire fighting/rescue units valued at more than f1.4m for use in Saudi Arabia.
They form part of a multi-million pound order for fire-fighting equipment won by Konrad Rosen bauer of Linz, Austria.
The five identical units, mounted on Mercedes Benz L2624 chassis with double cabs, are of triple boom configuration, each having a working height of 27.8m (91ft) and a maximum work loading of 365kg (800 lb).
The hydraulic power unit for boom and stabiliser operation is fitted for remote start-stop at the turntable and the cage.
