GEC claims that, when used as a system design tool, the program will enable engineers to simulate new cooling system layouts with any combinations of heat exchangers on certain engines. It can also be employed for performance calculations accepting very large quantities of driving pattern data from a vehicle simulator to quickly and cheaply predict cooling system performance.
It is claimed that the new program will considerably speed the selection and evaluation of vehicle cooling systems in comparison with current practice.
