Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE first low-bridge version of the Ailsa double-deck underframe has been produced at the company's Irvine factory, in Scotland.

Built for Derby Corporation, this low-bridge underframe achieves a 6in overall decrease in height compared with the standard Ailsa. This has been achieved by dropping the main side-members and frame crossmembers which, in this version, traverse the total width of the frame flush with the centre spline, which is itself in three sections between the crossmembers. In the standard design, the centre spline is in one piece with the crossmembers running above it at right angles.
