THE Russian tyre factory at Dnepropetrovsk is to be equipped with eight test machines supplied by Heenan and Froude, Ltd., Worcester, acting as subcontractors to David Bridge and Co.. Ltd., Rochdale. They will be used in connection with a full range of products.
from car to " giant " cover size. , Of basically similar design, seven of the test machines differ only in capacity and application. They arc capable of exerting pressures of from 2 to 15 tons, for low-speed " production " works or high-speed "research" use, The eighth machine exerts " canering force" and provides full measurement facilities.
Close' control over the technical details and requirements of the test plant has been exercised by Dunlop Advisory Services.
OBITUARY
regret to record the deaths of MR. .EDWARD C. FrrTON and MR. EDWARD GREGORY.
Mr. Fitton was one time transport manager of the Lancashire Cotton Corporation.
Mr. Gregory, who was chairman and governing director of Gregory's of Uxbridge, Ltd., died last Friday.
