6-30 August —The Edinburgh Fringe Festival won't be a laughing matter for those making deliveries in and out of the city as the worlds biggest arts festival clogs local roads.
27-29 August — Held in a no doubt muddy field, the annual Reading Festival could leave CV drivers around the M4 and the A329 near London with a decidedly sinking feeling. 27-29 August — The Leeds Festival is likely to provoke the same feelings for drivers along the Al to the east of Leeds. 2930 August — Around a million people take to the streets of Notting Hill for Europe's biggest carnival, meaning traffic jams at junction 16 of the M25 and the A40. Not much cause for drivers to celebrate.
27-30 August—The bank holiday weekend tor England. Wales and Northern Ireland will seriously impair journeys around the UK. Coastal roads are best avoided, especially where dual carriageways narrow to single carriageways causing bottlenecks. The M25 (especially between the M1 and Dartford crossing), the M60 box around Manchester and the M62 are likely to be affected from the previous Friday to the following Monday. NOTE: many holidaymakers and day trippers will looking to travel on 2 August (the old bank holiday date) and this is also the date of the bank holiday in Scotland
